Title: To Be Determined

This is a dragon-rider romantasy book and will be the first in a series of 5 planned books.

I’m still in the very early stages of writing, but I’m hoping to be able to get this book into beta readers’ hands by August 15th, 2026.

The Dragon Rider (title TBD) is inspired by Fourth Wing and Bloodwing Academy.

I'm a sucker for romance and soulmates, so that's definitely the driving force in this story. I also am exploring a different magic structure where there are levels of dragons, and a clear line drawn between who's the strongest.

Each dragon was made with a purpose, and only 200 were created at the same time as their lifelong mate. Due to the intense bond between dragon mates, their chosen riders tend to become mates as well.

Dolly grew up with her nomadic family, only settling in the North shortly after her eldest sister married. In the North, dragons are worshipped, and to wish to become a rider is blasphemy, because in order to become a rider, the rider before you had to have died. Dolly’s life is perfect, as she knows it. But when her fiancé, Gage, makes them travel south shortly before their wedding, her perspective on the world she grew up with changes.

Dolly’s given a choice: Stick with the life you knew, or leave it all behind to become someone completely new.
